Diamond Publication Booklet

This project I experimented in publication design by creating an aptly named mini booklet about the popularization of the diamond. I wondered, what made diamonds better than all other jewels? Surely, there are other jewels more colorful or more rare than diamonds, so why do they get all the hype? This is the topic I explore in my booklet. But more importantly, I learn about cover and layout design by doing. The text and images were sourced online as my focus was creating captivating and cohesive spreads. Additionally, I explore how to avoid clichés and sew my symbolism seamlessly in to my designs to elevate the readers experience without being overbearing or taking away from the content. The balance is tricky and convoluted so this project provided me some practice.

Above are examples of a couple of spreads in my booklet.
